I'm registered for the El Toro Pro on 3/24/07 and need to know if we need to take drastic action to reduce the loudness before then in order to be legal for the event. |

| What about the 90-91 hatch's that don't have the last hanger location like the DX and STD chassis? The next hanger after the two in the middle of the chassis would be after the suspension near the corner of the rear bumper. If I'm correct; I think the Si has a hanger near the tip of the LCA design which would work, but that's it for the ED/EF chassis. |

Are you sure about that??? That doesn't make any sense.

On my 91 DX hatch I know I don't have a 3rd exhaust hanger before the rear LCA, the hanger is after the LCA near the rear bumper as “arrowed”. I've been told that only the Si chassis (for some reason) will have the hanger before the rear LCA.

Just an example of what would work on the 91 DX. Note the hanger after the suspension bend.

wow..that's a new one to me. My 88 Std hatch used the same pipe as the 89 Si and the 91 Si. I figured they were all the same.
Anyway, I'll have to be sure people check this. thanks!!!!!!

An update...
At a local CalClub Solo event yesterday, Stephen and Jason were running in STS with their RedShift LCA exhaust with silencer. I can say that their car was much quieter than my car running a shorty Supertrapp exhaust with no discs. In fact, their car almost seemed too quiet
That being said, my exhaust in it's current configuration runs 95 dBs on the testing equipment in San Diego which is considered one of the strictest regions in the country regarding sound. I'm sure the RedShift system Stephen and Jason are running is well under the 93 dB limit imposed in San Diego. Again, it was very quiet. _________________ Curt Luther
